Rancho San Antonio Preserve and Deer Hollow Farm

By Rachel Puryear

If you’re ever in the South Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, do yourself a favor and check out the Rancho San Antonio Preserve.

While you’re there, also check out Deer Hollow Farm – they have friendly animals you can pet, so if you have kids, they’ll love it, too (check farm hours before you go).

This park offers wooded trails, breathtaking vistas, lush landscapes, wildlife, and plenty of space to explore.

Bicyclists and equestrians are allowed on designated trails. Parking lots are available.

Wheelchair-accessible trails are also available, including the service road to Deer Hollow Farm.

See here for more about visiting the park, as well as here for more about Deer Hollow Farm. Here’s also more accessibility information here (scroll down for Rancho San Antonio).

Succulents come in huge variety, yet are very low maintenance – check out this great starter set. Or, if you prefer artificial plants (might be better if you have kids or pets), try this beautiful set that looks like the real thing.
    • Lighting makes a huge difference in ambiance. If you prefer soft, romantic lighting instead of harsh overhead lights; try out these globe string lights, available in warm white and multiple colors. For more light variety, check out these lights that come in shapes like stars, lanterns, flamingoes, and more. Each of these sets are suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

the Preserve and the Deer Farm are wonderful places!

And it is a part of California I do not know well, and would love to know more about.
