Hi folks, your World Class Hugs host has some big personal life events going on. Accordingly, I am unable to put forth the usual kind of content for a short while. However, here some pictures of the gorgeous universe for you to enjoy, and hopefully get a good dose of inspiration and wonder from.
One of nature’s greatest wonders comes out at night. Since ancient times, people have revered the night skies, and often drawn spiritual inspiration from them, as well.
In modern times, light pollution has obscured our view of the cosmos in many urban areas. This means that many people do not see the stunning dark skies every night that their ancestors did.
Notably, the city of Flagstaff, Arizona, USA – home to Lowell Observatory – uses streetlights with soft colors that cast light downwards in order to minimize light pollution, and this is pretty effective. So too much brightness at night is not an inevitable result of urban development.

Do yourself a favor, and visit some place away from city lights, and look up at the night sky after dark. You’ll be amazed at how brilliant it is, especially on a clear night. And you’ll see why our ancestors revered the dark night skies so much.
Thank you, dear readers, for reading, following, and sharing. Here’s to our beautiful night skies. If you enjoyed this post, please “like” and subscribe, if you have not already.
