The city of Belmont is a quiet, hilly suburb on the Peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s home to some beautiful hiking trails, including San Juan Canyon.
If you’re in this area, stop by to check out the views, and the natural beauty surrounding this park.

For more information about visiting this park, please visit their website here.
I am unable to find official published accessibility information for this park, unfortunately – although they do give contact information on the website. My impression is that the trail is not smooth, but the incline is gentle (including for this fat, middle aged woman).
The park allows dogs on leashes.

- March is upon us, and that means Spring is now near. Many popular destinations are currently warm enough to visit, with daylight and nighttime being about equal, but don’t yet have the huge crowds and heat associated with Summertime. So, here are a few things to relax and enjoy yourself in mild and cool weather outdoors, in early Spring:
- – Enjoy the warmth, light, and beauty of a dancing fire, without all the smoke – or the difficulty of building one. Check out this stylish, portable, easy, clean burning fire pit that’s small enough to fit on your table top!
- – Give your garden, patio, or campsite beautiful, portable, water-resistant lighting that’s soft and romantic, with these solar outdoor lights that won’t create more light pollution.
- – Need a handy guide for outdoor cooking? Check out the Scout’s Deck of Outdoor Recipe cards, for delicious recipes with meal plans. Great for helping your kids learn about cooking, too.
