Stanford Dish Loop Trail in Stanford, California

By Rachel Puryear

If you’ve driven along Highway 280 near the upper Silicon Valley area, you’ve likely seen the Stanford Dish, way up on the mountain. Did you know that there’s also a trail surrounding it, which offers great vistas, and abundant natural beauty?

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor, and check out the Stanford Dish Loop Trail – it’s well worth a visit:

Vista of green mountains and clouds in sky.
Squirrel in the grass.
Deer on the mountain.

For more about visiting this trail, including accessibility information and maps, see here. Please note that no dogs are allowed on this trail. This trail is a local favorite, though, for families; as it offers flat, paved paths easy for children and elders.
