Trione-Annadel State Park in Santa Rosa, CA

By Rachel Puryear

Sonoma County is in the outer reaches of the San Francisco Bay Area, and is relatively quiet with lots of wooded areas. Santa Rosa is Sonoma County’s largest city.

Santa Rosa is also home to Trione-Annadel State Park, which offers plenty of beautiful views, hiking in forests, and a gorgeous lake.

Check out its beauty for yourself, and if you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit:

Muddy path with gnarled old trees.
Outlook over lush green hills.
Meadow with wildflowers.
Wild turkeys grazing.
Shady dirt path.

See here for more about visiting this park.

Here’s also their accessibility page – note that at the time of this post, according to that page, they offer free use of an off-road, manual wheelchair to the public. I’m glad to see that, as people all abilities and body types like to enjoy the outdoors!
