If you’re moving into a new space – be that a home, place of business, or otherwise – you might want to do an energy cleanse of the space, in order to clear energy left over from previous occupants of the space, and have a clean space to now make your own.
Doing this step upon moving into your space can help you feel more comfortable and relaxed in your new place, and settle in more readily.
Therefore, here’s an easy guide to doing an energy cleansing of your new space:

Bringing Good Intentions
Think about what you want your time in this space to be like, what you hope to achieve, and your hopes for this place. Use this to bring your intentions to this space. This will help you bring in the right kind of energy.
Something to Clean the Energy
When people think of clearing a space, they usually think of burning some sage, incense, candles, or other herbs. And indeed, those are all fine choices.
However, there are other alternatives that will also work just fine – especially if you’re wary about burning anything in the space, which sometimes there are good reasons not to.
You could sprinkle a little bit of water mixed with lemon juice, or that’s been blessed in accordance with any spiritual tradition you might believe in. (It’s not necessary to soak the place – just a spritz here and there will do.) You can also sprinkle some salt around (again, just a little bit will do).
You can also place plants, crystals, or other objects that have special meaning to you around the space.
Clearing the Space
Move around the space, and either meditate on or say out loud what kind of energy you want to bring to the place. You can burn smoke all around, or sprinkle something, or move a special object around the entire space.
For instance, you could think or speak aloud about wanting to bring love, peaceful or positive energy, joy, success, and other good kinds of vibes to the space.
